North-west India edition on a solar powered electric bicycle
In the summer of 2016, Rajendra Kumar, Krunal Tailor, Himanshu Singh and myself embarked on a one-of-a-kind 7000+ kilometre journey in India using a custom-built solar powered electric bicycle with a safety vehicle to raise awareness about solar energy and sustainable mobility via public interactions. We had all kinds of experiences that you can possibly imagine!
79 Days and 7424 kilometres of a crazy adventure later, we successfully completed the journey which also gained a recognition in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest journey on an electric bicycle. I’m very grateful for all the support from people and organisations who believed in this first journey and supported all along the way. This journey gave birth to the ‘The SunPedal Ride’ project.
